Feedback on my Gui's

Hello Developers! I would like some feedback on my GUI’s!

  1. What do you want to achieve? I want a nice and good looking GUI’s for an obby.

  2. What is the issue? I don’t think it looks too good. Any suggestions?

  3. What solutions have you tried so far? I’ve tried resizing it, changing the color, nothing worked.

If there is anything I should change, or add, or if I need a plugin, please let me know. Thanks!

I don’t recommend using bright vivid colors. The neon green and the bright red make it somewhat offputting. I recommend using lighter colors.

The black outline doesn’t match the rest of the buttons, and it looks odd nonetheless. Instead, make the outline frame the same size as the button but then bring it down a little bit so the button has a bevel. so it looks like the button is 3D.

I would also try to fix the text and make it much smaller. The text in the skip stage button is way too large and the text should relatively be the same size as the other text. Also, try using a different font since that font isn’t as good as the other fonts available to you.

One problem that I notice when playing an obby is that the gui’s are too in-your-face, what i would recommend is layering the different buttons on top of the other then fitting them into somewhere that won’t be as distracting, or you could have a drop-down menu that when clicked shows the buttons.

Also, I believe that would look better with a pastel-type color palette, for example a dark lavender colored background and the same colors but with less pop so they don’t distract you from the obby.

Alright, I’ll do that. Thanks for the feedback.

Should I make the buttons 3D?

Possibly, if it fits in with the rest of the game, but something i always do when i make buttons 3-D is whenever the cursor hovers over the buttons they would create a visual effect that would seem that they were pressing the buttons but not having any effect unless actually clicked. This seems to give the cursor the felling of weight to the player.

What should I do if I want to make the buttons do that effect?

It really depends on how the buttons look.

I see. Alright. I’ll work on them. Thanks for the advice.

you should make the buttons and border the same size, the “Buy +1 Skip” border is bigger than the others.

Yeah, I was using a plugin. It wouldn’t let me make it the same size. I just used the default roblox blue button. Thanks.

Your UI does look a bit plain. Game passes should stand out so the reader can see it, however, the neon colours attract the wrong type of attention. The vivid colours cause eye-strain which makes it harder for the reader to see what they want to buy. Also, some of the colours don’t contrast well. You can resolve this problem by lightening some of the colours, or simply substituting the colours for different ones. Also, you should make the black border smaller purely for aesthetic reasons. You should be consistent with your UI as well as some of them are not the same size. I am against using punctuation in UI as it is unnecessary and takes up space. I hope this helps with your UI!

Yes, the colors are too aggressive for me. It gave me that feeling of the old Roblox clickbait games.
I think you should try to pick different colors that match your game theme. But not something that is ‘‘attacking’’ eyes of the player. It’s simply basic, I like it, but colors are a bit aggressive. And maybe you could change that frame with some cool texture, It will give it more spice.
