recently started working on a horror game and have been making good progress over the past few days. I’ve been developing it for about half a week now, and I’d love to hear any feedback or suggestions you might have.
The concept of the game revolves around a young adult who returns to his hometown after 10 years. Upon arriving, a mysterious fog transports him back to his childhood, 10 years in the past. The player will experience key events from his past, including how his parents left him and the eventual destruction of the town. (I’m trying to make something like the hit game It lurks, the story is completely different but I’m trying to go for similar style)
Heres the gameplay of the progress so far, any feedback to the map and story will be greatly appreciated!
This looks absolutely amazing, please let us know when it releases. There is not much feedback to give in a smaller clip, but instead of “real story” you can do “true story.” Thats just being nit-picky. Lights could also rapidly flash during the end of the first clip.
Looks so awesome! Doesn’t even look like a roblox game! How did this only take half a week!?! It would take me a month to make something that is half as good as this! I am excited to play the finished game!
I think it looks really nice, the environment and movement seems pretty solid from the clip you’ve shown.
Only feedback I have is that it doesn’t seem like much of a “town” as there’s literally only 1 or 2 houses in view. Could look a bit better if you added more torn-down houses? Also maybe add some very soft background music? Like subtle piano keys playing every so often for example.
also the little tick sounds for the text hurt my ears, make it softer if possible
This is great honestly, but one little thing, in my opinion, I can have fantastic immersion into a horror game but when the grammar in the text or something like that is bad, then it ruins my immersion.
Like “Woah, What is Happening?” honestly would ruin the immersion for me, if English is not your first language you can find people who would easily fix up your grammar for you.
yeah lol I might make a few yt videos on it to create a fan base and If this game goes well, I might invest a few hundred dollar to let other creator make videos on it!
This is an amazing concept! Please let me know when it releases, I’m not a big youtuber whatsoever but I’m definitely going to make a video playing your game to try and get people to see it, this could be huge!! I’m excited, looks great
