I really like the use of chat to execute spells, but i would suggest making some sort of custom chat, that way the chat isnt constantly filled up. Even wity just one person there is a lot of chats, imagine with 10+ people.
This is not a problem if you wish to try it your self i suggest you play the game Magic training, it also gives indication to other players that they might be attacked.
Additionally playes have developed strategies to make sure people dont know they are casting a spell by using /e spellname this way it does show in chat or by use /system this way roblox automatically deleted the message.
Sorry for any spelling mistakes currently on mobile
I have also made a wand like this, but I didn’t want to use the normal way of spellcasting. Instead of typing the name of the spell, you have to move the wand in certain directions (left right up down). Maybe it’d be cool for you to try some different way of casting too!
Its movement is based on wave frequency and in reality spells don’t even have a visual indication just a burst of light but ill experiment with different methods
Perhaps, I was thinking of doing this for clashing if you know what I mean but I don’t want to slow down pvp between players by adding this, also that would make accurate aiming nearly impossible…
After looking at your game I now understand you used Q,E,R,F for the wand movement. I’m not really a fan of this but it’s quite cool. I also really like your particles, are you using unanchored parts for the particles?
The particles when it hits are based on someone else’s module. I think it’s called something like 3d bouncing particles. It essentially creates a bunch of parts with velocity based on the impact normal. I then changed those into proper looking particles.
Not 100% on this though, as I didn’t work on these wands in a while.
Make a clash system. Like in the game Wizard Wars (Link: Wizard Wars - Roblox)
Basically in the harry potter world when to people cast at each other its does this thing called a clash and you have to press buttons to win. The main menu of the game shows you what I mean. Good luck developing games!
