Feedback on my Infinite Runner game?

This was a small project I made a while back and I recently went in and fixed some bugs, would this be a game you can see yourself playing from time to time? What could I add to make it more enjoyable and fun. I have a few ideas, but I would like to see what everyone else thinks before I move along.

(Keep in mind this game is very bare bones in its current state.)

It definitely feels like the foundation of something.

A little less gravity, and a little more walkspeed, this could feel really smooth. I applied a similar movement to one of my test games recently, and I’m absolutely in love with it.

I think my biggest issue was through the obstacles, specifically the O rings, I felt the need to stop and readjust, but I think less gravity and more walkspeed would stop that from feeling necessary to not fall.

Game could go far with solid theming and spin it as a more Modern Speed Run game, good luck!

As Damp was saying, the movement could be smoother by changing the gravity and walk speed.

If I we’re to build upon this game, I would add:

  • Different styles and theming

  • More “Stages”

  • Leaderboards (Unless there are some already in the game that I just didnt see)

  • Settings to toggle day/night

  • More difficult/unique stages, it currently feels really repetitive

  • More UI, the game seems bland without it.

  • Coins (maybe) to unlock different skyboxes, trails, etc.

and more!

I like the playstyle, its fast and keeps my short attention span awake, it’s much harder than the generic ones and you actually have to think before going which I like. I wish it started off easy and progressively got harder. also make an option to mute music please.

Three small suggestions:

  • When I first played, the cursor was unlocked, which made it harder to play. I haven’t figured out how to reproduce this yet.
  • Decrease the amount of time it takes to respawn after death.
  • Tell players somewhere in the description or in-game that they can double jump since a lot of the obstacles require it.

What settings would you recommend?

One of my ideas was a progression system! Like you mentioned the obstacles would start off easy and get harder the further out you go.
