Feedback on my latest GFX

Hi everyone! I’m a programmer, but I’ve also dipped my toes into GFX for roblox. I use blender (Cycles render engine) for rendering and Gimp for post-processing. I’d appreciate any feedback you can think of for the artwork. I can also answer any questions people have regarding the GFX.

Feel free to be harsh with the feedback, I don’t mind

Maybe make the arms/legs look like they’re connecting to the torso a little more.

Thanks for the feedback. I will make sure to do that for future pieces.

I don’t feel like he was being mean, he was just giving me advice on how I could improve the pose.

How is it mean to give a polite suggestion?

Well it’s awesome it doesn’t matter how the body parts need to be apart of the torso.

It’s a awesome GFX and I will not let that out of my heart.

It looks decent, compositional wise is also ok but can be improved. I’m assuming it’s an explosion on a highway, so most likely the highway would probably collapse or you would see some debris flying everywhere. The textures don’t blend well with each other and look flat. I would add a normal map to that concrete and asphalt and use a higher quality texture for the road if you have one. If you want to increase the realism and make the barriers look better, you can add some grunge from where it meets the road/asphalt. I would also work on the lighting since not the biggest fan of the sky and try getting a cooler pose and maybe have him shoot a gun while theres an explosion in the background.

(just realised the road and explosion looks low quality because of the aperture/depth of field, maybe increase the f-stops a bit or try to get a larger portion of the scene focused)

Wow  Really good… maybe what I would do is bring the character a bit closer to the camera but otherwise really nice :ok_hand:

You should up your sample rate as there’s a bit of noise, the explosion in the back also looks like a flat image

I feel like the camera should be a bit closer to the man, because the sides of the picture look a little empty. Other than that, I have no complaints. You did a great job on this!

It kinda looks empty, I’d put in some more detail unless you were going for a simplistic style

It’s alright. Practice more though, you need to remove the motion blur on the explosion as it makes it look pixelated, also, motion blurs on explosions don’t occur in real life.

It’s being kind of hard to know whether the man has done the blast and is waiting for the blast like a cool guy or like the blast has occured and the man is still unknown to it.It’s hard to understand for me bc of straight pose of the character and little work can be done on lightning too but going to gfx sometimes being a programmer is understandable and it’s rly good for the work load you get as a programmer.

Pretty cool, but personally I feel like the camera is too far away. The character and scene, in general, seem too small. Effects and everything look badass though.

oooo 3d clothig? also nice explosion effect. the blur looks great too! why is he standing on a racetrack tho O_O

but is it night or is it day?

The lighting looks fantastic! I love how it fades from blue to orange and you put the effects and everything together very well. Things I would say would be good to improve is to try and centre the camera and have it more focused on the subject. Other than that its a great piece of work, keep it up!

Add an actual background instead of just fog. That’ll make it much better. Also it makes no sense, it’s just a man in front of an explosion. Make him hold a gun like or something like he just got out of a fight.

Looks pretty cool! Maybe you could add a car flipping over the side of the road?
