hi! i’m actively developing a game based on the backrooms creepypasta, and i made a main menu + introduction cutscene for the levels! i really love how this all turned out, and i’d love to see how i can improve it. any feedback is greatly appreciated!!
Everything about this is perfect! The art style of the UI, the introduction. Especially the part where the camera starts moving around rooms is just so cool! If I were you. I would change the inventory UI a bit, yknow, to make it fit in with the environment.
i was originally thinking of making a custom inventory, and i still am planning it, i’m just not sure how i’d actually implement it.
thank you so so much for your kind feedback by the way!!! <3
I would do some kind of loading bar maybe for the teleporting screen, it’s just kinda dark for now.
Pretty nice camera manipulation! I could never do something like that.
As a UI Designer, the UI is pretty good and fits in with the game.
Here’s some suggestions for the UI.
- Move the play button to where the credits button is
- Change some play button elements to make it stand out just a bit.
- Change the roundness of the info frame on the start screen.
- Adjust the size of the start screen UI Frames.
Elements you can add:
- Add a background blur on the start screen
- Remove the core GUIS on the top right corner and the inventory. (Keep roblox menu and chat)
- Add custom load screen when teleporting to a game level so it looks like you didn’t even teleport. (Just provides overall smoothness)
- Add loading screen when first loading in the game. (Maybe like a small text label in the bottom left corner saying “loading…” then fades out when finished loading)
Just some suggestions.
Any questions? Feel free to reply.
these are some great ideas! i’ll keep these in mind. thank you so much for the feedback!
I don’t like how this looks like.
You can make it smaller, because the text leaves the frame.
yeah i was gonna fix that but got lazy because i was tired lol
i’ll fix it when i get home
