Feedback on my MMORPG

Hey guys!

I’m currently working on an MMORPG theme game. The game’s 1st section is almost complete and I would like to know what the community thinks about my game.

Here are some screenshots listed in these bullets

Credits to @BRicey763 for contributing these amazing guis.
Tiny note, he forgot to put the Level Gui so don’t mind that. If you have suggestion on where to put it I would appreciate it

Sadly as I mentioned I do not have a modeler so don’t judge it too harshly.

Note: I do not have a modeler so I tried my best to build the fountain, NPCs and mushrooms. The rest was made by my terrain guy @AZN_Prodigy currently not a forum member. And I handled all of the scripting in the game.

Feel free to send a feedback or any regards concerning my post or my game.

It’s really good, very detailed and overall I can already see a youtuber playing it if you continue making similar sections; I’d honestly play it myself, so I can’t wait to see more updates on this project!

One thing I noticed is that this game might be a bit laggy on low performance devices, such as mobiles/tablets or old devices in general. You should add a ‘Low Graphics’ button or something like that to keep a fair gameplay for everyone. Other than that, great progress, you’re really talented!

I had the same notice, but my builder is really experienced and I am very thankful that he is good with terrain and there are no lag issues. As well as the scripts in game are optimized as maximum as possible. We saw the lag issue coming so what we did was seperate each area in different places such as “games” if you get what I mean? So like grassland, desert, haunted area etc…

Thank you for giving me high hopes on this game
Since the last 100 projects I have done were not a success.

Of course, each project starts from 0. Good luck with it!

i don’t like the idea of having a level requirement for certain levels, also the trees look weird; maybe make physical branches and stuff instead of mesh/decal

What would be a better solution to the level requirment to unlock certain areas?
The trees look weird because you might be used to low poly

As I mentioned I do not have a modeler so I think my builder just took something off toolbox or that tree is made from a friend.

well maybe instead of level requirments for areas; let the player access those areas but make the npcs not attack back if your under x level or the quests only work for level x and above; i like games where i can go everywhere, but limit what you can actually play by level i guess

That’s a great idea I would suggest to my dev team, although I remember when playing Vesteria and just exploring the place I get lost real easily and just give up on the game like that. So I would need to think of something for that.
I’m also not so sure if I should make NPCs only attack certain level players since my game is trying to follow the MMORPG genre back in 2017 if you get what I mean? @Stickmasterluke was the inspiration that made me go for this type of genre for NPCs and game system. The thing I don’t like about your idea is that low level players can get carried real easily by pro players helping them kill a real strong boss for good loot. I mean, I can easily fix that but it just ruins the whole genre of my game.

I Like the build style you went with, the trees do look nice. Although im guessing they are all decals, and over time they may cause some performance issues for lower end devices. The only thing i would suggest is a lot of the paths look really square. maybe just try giving them a more natural look, by some curves or something. Hard to explain really, but just perfrect square corners look a bit wierd. Kind of same with the mountain.

Other than those things i think its really good! Keep it up.
