Feedback on my new fighting game

I created my third game which is a brick battle game with a condensed loot pool. I tried to differentiate my game from others by making my map interactive. Players can cause blocks to appear by rolling a ball across colored squares. Players can also create explosions in certain areas of the map by pressing buttons.

Note: My goal for this game is to have a small community (10 or more players) and maintain it. Another goal for this game is to have a higher average playtime. Most of my games have a small average playtime and I want to see the small numbers increase. I ran sponsors and I only got 59 clicks and out of those 59 clicks, only 15 people actually played the game. I know my thumbnail and game icon are not appealing and I’ll try to solve this issue.

Problems with the game: For this game to be fully enjoyed players need to be able to interact with other players. If I can’t get players in my game others that want to enjoy the game cannot because there’s no player interaction. Any tips on solving this issue?

Hey, It’s LowsDev

I checked out your game, and right off the bat, I was getting spawn killed. I would expand the map and add teams. This would make the game much more enjoyable.

As I played the game, I took a look at the map as well. I think it’s a little too small for a PVP game. The map looks a little plain, add some more obstacles too. I would also add a nice clean looking GUI, this would make the make much more appealing, and players would enjoy this a ton! I would like to see a level system maybe? Each kill you get, you gain XP.

So, let me summarize it.
Add these

  • Expand the map, add obstacles
  • Make it so you cannot get spawn killed.
  • Add a clean GUI that matched the games color scheme.
  • A leveling system for winning/getting kills.

You’re smart! I never thought about getting spawn killed on the map. I purposely started off on a smaller map so I can expand if there were problems like this. A leveling system would entice players to keep playing. I’m not sure if I’m able to script a big system such as leveling up but I’m up for the challenge. Thanks for the feedback

I’m not sure what the purpose of a leveling system would be in a brick battle game. Would it be to show off a player’s skill/rank or like a simulator where levels make players stronger than other players?

The concept is cool. It makes it more unique than traditional sword/rocket fight games. I’m not sure if the game actually needs a leveling system but it could be a neat addition I guess?? Is the camera zoom supposed to be a fixed distance? It kind of threw me off.

Probably with advertisements? You won’t need to worry about this issue if your game gets a consistent player base. You could advertise your game when you feel it’s fully ready and you have the money to do so.

In conclusion I think your game has a lot of potential. I wish you good luck on your development!

Is this an intended feature? The rocket seems to fire twice, one very offset from the other.

EDIT: It seems to scale with player count. For example if there is 4 players in game, 4 rockets will fire from one launcher.

I fixed the camera to third person to prevent other players from zooming out and seeing all the players on the map which in my opinion takes away the fun and skill. I didn’t know that the rocket could fire multiple rockets if multiple players are in the game. Thank you for your feedback.

Well, with a level system, comes rewards. I would make it so players can earn items, and maybe trade them?
