I recently released my new mountain biking game, Speed Wheel. I was hoping you could give me some constructive criticism. I’m aware that the bike can sometimes be a little hard to control.
I played the game and it was truly awesome, something I’d play for hours whilst listening to music, there are some bugs here and there like the bike lags out sometimes but apart from that I was playing it the other day and it was working perfectly fine
really enjoyed the game. there are a couple bugs but im sure they will get fixed, one of them being that each time the bike would touch a plant, it would roll over all of the place making it difficult to go on the small paths but other than that i enjoyed the game
I have absolutely no clue how you would even start to make a game like that. It’s honestly amazing. As mentioned above, there are bugs but of course, it is only in ALPHA stage. I’m assuming this is very hard to do, but throughout the updates your game will undergo, try to make the bike ride a bit smoother. It might just be since I haven’t got the hang of the game yet but I felt like I was flipping and flopping which made it hard to control. But I don’t want to sound like I am just finding the problems, because all in all, this is very cool!
Your game is beautiful and has very good physics although I would the camera controls as it sometimes flickers when passing bushes or trees try to ignore the bushes / thin leaves. I would also implement a lerping mechanic so when the bike is changing terrain surface normals it can smooth out the gaps between changing from flat terrain to bumpy / sloped terrain.
This looks really great and it’s fun to play. One major issue I have is how the bike reacts on a terrain other than a road. It seems to be really sensitive and quite hard to control. There is a few minor issues as well like a couple of floating trees and some grass showing through the road but it’s a really good start.
