Feedback on my new roblox game "samcampone's gunfight arena"

Hey, I am working on a project inspired by battlegrounds and fps games. It’s a simple loadout based fps game where everyone can choose their own weapon kit and fight other players.
Currently there is just one gamepass, all the weapons are free and all the credits and attributive licenses can be found in-game.

  • This game was originally made to see if i could make a working fps system but eventually turned out into a full game.
  • The current lobby is candy themed because I tought it looked good. if people don’t like it i will change it.

My main feedback would be small quality of life stuff like:

  • Being given a default loadout when you join the game, so you don’t join the arena with nothing
  • Saving your loadout so when you die you don’t have to select it again
  • Some bugs like being unable to close loadout gui if its open when you join the arena

But overall its pretty good. I think the projectiles being able to move stuff in the game (boxes) is a cool feature that could be expanded upon

i walked around for a few minutes and here are a few suggestions i would consider if i were u:

  • adding a tween for the FOV zoom when aiming could help make aiming not feel as jarring.
  • it might be worth increasing the ammo count. having just one shot before needing to reload is less than ideal.
  • u could experiment with raycasting instead of using slow-ish projectiles, it’ll help the gunplay feel more responsive and snappy.
  • adding more variation to the recoil could make it feel punchier and less like a toy. currently, it’s mostly just the camera being pulled straight up, but adding some tilting to the left or right could give it more character.

Thank you so much and i’m ashamed i could not play with you to make you see the full game.

  • Zoom tweening will probably be added in the future.
  • I experimented with multiple ammos but it made the game feel boring and repetitive, for example a gun that shoots 3 ammo per click is of course gonna be used more than a shotgun, also it lacks creativity and originality.
  • I ,unfortunately, don’t know how to use raycasting but when ill’learn ill probably remake the scripts.
  • The recoil can be managed by a script and i can modify it however i like, ill probably mess around and fix the recoil for most of the guns.
