Feedback on my newest cooking game

Just released a game about a week ago and I’d like some feedback on how to improve it.

Ran through a bit of sponsors and for the most part, the stats have been pretty bad, low session time and low retention. I’ve mostly done obbies so something like this is brand new to me, would love to hear feedback on what I could do to improve this game.

I’ve played through the game a bit with my friend and overall, the controls were a bit buggy and some instructions were unclear.

For example, when the tutorial showed me how to cook some items, one of the parts was to put your knife on the cutting board. I’m not too sure what I did wrong, but a prompt never appeared allowing me to place it down, and I didn’t know what to do.

You can get a few testers and see the main problems, but it’s just not too smooth to play with.

The UI, sound and builds are really good though, it’s just the gameplay isn’t too good.

Side note: If you try to spectate while in a server by yourself, your character gets frozen

Hi Katrist,

Thanks for playing and for providing the feedback. Did you equip the knife and the prompt never showed? Never heard that happen before. And was that the only thing or were there other controls that you found buggy?

We also held a few test sessions with testers, and we did get feedback about the gameplay, and tried to improve it by making it easier, but never got any specific feedback on what people would like to see. Could I ask what specifically about the gameplay do you think should be changed to make it more smooth?
