Its nice, i had fun testing this. Its a bit weird to get into at first but i got the hang of it quick.
The Infiroment looks awesome.
Keep that good work up!
You’ve got great potential with this.
It spooked me when I saw my friends as customers, lol.
I personally like cooking games so this was fun to test, there is definitely potential for this idea.
This looks GREAT so far, i’m so excited for when it’s done. It’s like Cooking Simulator but on roblox and more silly, in a good way.
It definitely needs a tutorial of some sort, and also currently taking orders doesn’t show anything on the screen, but i assume those are for later. I also can’t figure out where the baking trays are?
But this looks amazing and i am genuinely excited for when it’s finished because I can see myself playing it a lot. It’s well made, the animations are smooth, the physics will be great with a server full of people throwing tomatoes at each other!
thanks, the only problem is that it might not run smoothly on low end devices since there are quite a lot of pbr textures.
I’m not sure if this stuff is supposed to be on the ground right away. There’s also a starter character in the back and a rig near the front of the store, but this is only a prototype so it’s fine. My only other suggestion is to add different types of cars but I’m sure you already have that planned. Awesome game, looking forward to the full release!
update: mobile support and new mechanics
First thing I noticed was the amount of pbr textures for everything. Personally I think it looks very nice and with the small map it shouldn’t cause many performance issues. Took me about twenty minutes to learn how everything worked without a tutorial so that was pretty painful. I noticed that my customers were leaving really fast and I only was able to get their order 50% of the time even after I learnt how everything was made.
The meshes are very nice and I found myself looking at all the meshes and their textures. I didn’t understand what the bank and bill did and no matter how much money I made it didn’t change the graph. On the order menu, it would help if it showed instructions or steps on how to make an order or make a GUI on the side of the screen that gives you steps on how to make the order.
This game has lots of effort put into it, I can see that.
I just love every detail you put into it, such as the door opening, when customers enter/leave through the main door, its just realistic, and the cars leaving/arriving.
Just a small tip, the grabbing system is alright, but it could be a little but smoother but overall, great game with lots of potential! This is going to be that burger game where you have to cook burgers (I forgot the name) 2.0!
There’s also this bug where the camera would bug out like crazy until you would go back into first person, I suggest you patch that soon.
Alright, good luck with your game! Soon enough you’ll have 30-100 players daily if you keep on with the high quality development!
update: added a tutorial button which teleports you to the tutorial. (press space to continue with prompts)
also added some object sounds.
recipe button will show you how to make dishes within the game
I like the game the simplicity of it, it reminds me of a game that was popular 10 years or so ago where it was a mcdonalds restaurant and you had to run it.
There are however some issues I found.
There isn’t much of an emphasis on money, there isn’t anything that motivates me to make orders faster, nor not waste my money on items. I think if there was some punishment to this it would give meaning to doing the work.
Not much variety in customers + too much customers, even on single player servers you can get more than 3 customers at once and unless you pre-prepared all dishes it’s unlikely you will get the orders done in time. I think it would be cool if you had more time to prepare the smaller the server is, adding to that if there would be variety in customers that can affect your restaurants score that would make it a bit more engaging imo.
Otherwise great game unlike many games I try once i came back a few times to this one.
Id look for sound designers for music.
It honestly looks amazing so far and I see lots of potential in this game, the only thing I noticed is that the tutorial is fairly short and should show you how to make other dishes rather than just chips, assuming that the tutorial is complete.
I was messing with ZIndex behaviours of the UI haha. It should be fixed now.
I’m planning on solving this by eventually adding a bankruptcy feature for failing to pay bills and perhaps a few purchasable cosmetic items.
