Feedback on my punch animation

I AM NOT AN ANIMATOR!!! I MADE THIS BECAUSE MY GAME HAS LOW BUDGET

So I’m making a fighting game and I attempted to make a punch animation. After a few revisions here’s my final result:

I would suggest adding a little bit of windup and easing the punch out more smoothly rather than having a sudden stop at the end. Other than that, looks great

Thanks for the advice! I didn’t fully understand the second part but here’s the updated version:

Oh shoot I just realized this needs to go in creations feedback

Yay now my post won’t get flagged for incorrect use of the art design support category

For confused people this post was originally in art design support

This punch animation looks good! Great job on it! How long did it take to make in total? What game will it be used in?

Thanks! Maybe about 10-30 minutes worth of animating to get to the version shown in the post. It’s going to be used in a game similar to Slap Battles that me and some friends are making!

Wow, already looks much more impactful with the windup! As for the second part, what I mean is instead of having the fist just immediately stop in a seemingly arbitrary point in the air, have it slow down and turn inwards (in this case, to the left) as the animation comes to an end (unless it’s meant to be more of a straight punch instead of a hook, in which case you shouldn’t have it turn really).

Punch the air for a while and you’ll see what I mean.

The normal version (1x speed)

This, is the result, of Easing Styles and Directions.
And also of me actually reading the documentation instead of mindlessly scrolling on youtube.
