Feedback on my Roblox game "Elemental Royale"

Hiya, thanks for coming to check this post out.

My name is Turpichu and I got a Roblox game called Elemental Royale. It’s a magic fighting game that I created 2 years ago and you can fight other players, use different magics, fight against NPCs etc.

I personally think the game is somewhat decent however lately, less and less players are visiting the game now which reduces the concurrent player count and my revenue as well. I do not know how to improve my game to a point which more players will come back on to it and it’s killing my motivation.

I’ve tried to add new content like new elements and other features like guilds and I also tried to host tournaments too but it just doesn’t seem like it is helping. I’ve also tried advertising the game too but that hasn’t been working either.

So I would like to ask you guys to come and check out my game and give feedback on it; hopefully I can improve my game by doing this. It would be great if you could give tips on how to improve monetisation as well.

All feedback is greatly appreciated and thanks

Ah, that game. I’ve played it before, a while ago.
A friend asked play it with him.
To be honest, multiple things put me off.

First, having the elements you start with be randomized is very frustrating. I can’t keep what I collect? Elemental Battlegrounds lets me do that.

Second, I remember being very confused on what to do. I don’t remember this part clearly though. I remember getting metal as a first try and not knowing how to play at all.

Third, bigger players kept killing me. I didn’t know what to do. I also just kept getting spawn-killed.

Edit: I am paying the tutorial on mobile right now and the instructions are very confusing. What is “right had side of J?”

The tutorial continues when I press anywhere, which is annoying since I’m skipping so much on accident. When I move, the tutorial continues.

The camera is also very weird. Moving makes the camera pan down and stay down.

Next Edit: Block button doesn’t work on mobile? The tutorial has reached a dead end and now it’s impossible to move on.

Thanks for your input. I’ll try and make the changes accordingly.

This part, I think you coulda worded it differently, sounded kinda rude but that is the basis of why I made this post - to figure out the problems with me game.

I played this game a week or two ago and I thought the concept and ideas were very nice but I didn’t play for long because I was confused on what the aim of the game was and what I was supposed to be doing.
I also kept getting killed by people when I was just trying to look around and I just gave up in the end.

I might revisit and give a more detailed opinion later, I hope you manage to get more players since it seemed fun I just didn’t give it a proper chance because I didn’t really understand- which was probably my fault.

There are games like this I’ve played in the past. No tutorial so I don’t know what I’m playing or whats going on or how to use tools. Some of the UI looks really old and not pleasant looking. Menu disappeared for a sec when I hovered over it. The spinning part was reallyyy frustrating because I clicked accept but it rerolled. The game itself was to be frank, boring because I could only attack dummies (couldnt attack other players) and from what I could see, you can spam F (in my case) and thats all you can do to win. It wasn’t fun, you should add weapons instead. Building was fine but its a little bland, the map could definitely use an upgrade/theme. Overall just make it more fun and feel like you’re playing the game, I didnt see any but you should add enemy npcs if there are none. Hope this helped

You could fix this:

Edit: I tried it 5 times and it did that same thing.

Is it not your internet connection?

It is not my internet. I can play other games

I’ve searched up the error code. This is what came up:

You are seeing the ROBLOX Error Code 260 because the ROBLOX servers are temporarily busy or unavailable. It generally means two cases. One is either the server is under maintenance or you are facing an internal Connection Problem with your IP Address and ROBLOX server.

It must be Roblox servers having problems.

How can I say this in a nice way? Hm… I guess your game is clunky at best.

So, I actually think the concept of getting an element by spinning is fine. What I don’t like though, is the rest of the game.

For starters, I feel like I don’t actually do damage. I tried and tried to get my projectile to hit the other player, but I never could. Also, why can’t we have more movement options? In games like Elemental Battlegrounds, you have way more movement options.

Next thing. The UI, it’s pretty bad. The UI doesn’t match well with other UI, the X button is almost invisible, and it just doesn’t look nice.

One last thing: I have no fighting chance against other players that are higher level. Mainly because I don’t have ways to run away, unlike that other game that is basically your game, but better in every way.

I think the reason your game has barely any players is because they all went to Elemental Battlegrounds which is in every way better than your game. I am NOT saying you copied Elemental Battlegrounds, you put your own twists here and there, but Elemental Battlegrounds is still objectively better.

It’s not a bad game, it’s just sometimes when you reach the maximum potential of a game it’ll drop in numbers, and you’ll see the drop in income. By that time you should probably start working on another game since you’ve built up a fan base, and made some income .

That’s the mindset that I am having right now.

I’ve already been working on another project for a couple of months and it’s nearly ready for release and I am going to make a sequel for Elemental Royale over the summer anyways.

But some people are complaining that the player count is low and I was wondering how I could change some things up to attract some players. The feedback that I got on the game in this post has enlightened me to problems that I will deal with in the sequel when I begin to work on that.

I LOVED IT just by the first seconds of being in game. I really like the intro screen too.
