Feedback on my Roblox GFX Design

Hello Roblox Artists,

I have recently designed this artwork of one of my Roblox avatar presets using Blender for the lighting and Photoshop for the special effects. Please send me some feedback as I am a beginner and I want to know what I should improve on in this artwork.

Hi! Btw Your Design Is So Awesome!

Thanks for the positive feedback

definitely isn’t amazing. key issues i will point out is leg posing? is that the knee bend or top of leg or what? non matching background (filter is not on background, and it isn’t really immersive with the character)
but other than that, just your hand posing needs adjusting, and maybe lighting. it is alright, 5/10 i say

i would consider that a compliment.

Hello,

Thanks for the feedback I will take note of this.

It’s not perfect but not the worst either! Here’s my compliments:

  • The lighting you have here is much better than other GFX that beginners have made.
  • I’m glad you didn’t pick the generic God pose where the characters head is pointing up. Uniqueness is definitely important to make your GFX stand out.
  • You actually used a pose. It’s a little rough, but it’s better than not using one at all.
  • There is some emotion in the character! It’s sort of baiting you to come closer with his arm pointing towards you. This could be enhanced with a face, which you had neglected to add.

I have some feedback though. This needs definite adjustment to make it even better. If my feedback is harsh, I apologize.

FEEDBACK

  • The character being transparent isn’t very nice. I can see the clouds through him.
  • Their legs aren’t posed well. The knees should be bent because he’s in a seemingly resting position.
  • I can also see the top part of his legs sticking out. It often isn’t a good thing if you can see these normally hidden parts.

  • Add a face. He looks emotionless and it just looks weird without one.
  • The lighting compared to the background doesn’t match. On the character, there’s a light source coming from the left. BUT on the background it’s no brighter on the left than the right.

This is alright at most. The people who voted amazing don’t have much experience in GFX design so I recommend focusing on the Needs Adjusting option in the poll.

Ok sounds great. Thanks for the feedback.

The posing needs improvement and I dont see how the character fits with the background. But hey, you will get better no doubt about it. 6/10 keep it up! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: :+1:

I second this, the image looks really good and the style is bizarre in a good way, however the legs take away from it with the weird angle of them, still a really good image though!
