Feedback on my second GFX?

Here is my second GFX. Basically just a more detailed version of my first one, with fixed grass and lighting and more.

That actually looks really good! My only complaint is that flower in the front, Which just looks kinda blurry. But other than that its really good!

Your second attempt adding additional objects and lighting features, I think it looks good like the fog with that sort of moody look. You’d want to fix the monsters posing mainly the character in the left middle side the posing structure looks a little rush was that international?

Furthermore, the text and composition looks good the useful effects match with the scene and the lighting source however you may want to include fireflies floating around the forest area i’m assuming that’ going to be added very soon?

This is the style of a action sort of game otherwise love the design nice posing and lighting it really makes the scene stand out.

ahh, i forgot, the fireflies! maybe next time. The monsters are intentional like that but I suppose it’s the camera position that makes it look out of order. Thanks for the feedback!

There is a lot of visible noise, if you’re using blender there is a built in denoising feature for cycles or if you have nvidia hardware you can use OptiX which is also a built in feature.

Edit: I looked at the image more carefully and I’m starting to think that the noise was intentional. Fix me if I’m wrong though.

I don’t like that denoising feature for cycles because it effects shiny surfaces a little bit. Depending on how strong the noise is, yeah, it messes with shiny surfaces and it doesn’t like emission much either.

I ran this at 250 render frames which is why it still has noise. it rendered pretty fast which means if I render it at 500 frames, it could be pretty clean.

PS - the noise wasnt intentional but I indeed do like a little noise in my renders depending on the environment. when it comes to the foggy forest, I do indeed like a little noise. Thanks for the feedback!

I like the usage of Fog mixed with a the light, also I need to get that grass pluglin

It’s not grass plugin, it’s grass made from scratch and scattered over the terrain using blenders features. Thanks for the feedback!

This definitely looks pretty cool for a second piece, in my opinion.
Almost everything, such as the lighting, posing, character texturing, etc. looks very nice and well-done.
I do have 2 suggestions, however;

  1. The flower in front of the scene is a bit big and disrupting from the scene’s focal point, or point of interest. It would definitely be a good idea to move it back a bit so it isn’t very interruptive.
  2. The hair on the character to the left looks a bit weird - I can’t really tell if the small black meshes on the hair are strands or something else, so it would definitely be nice to give that part of the hair more clarification as to what it actually is.

Otherwise, great work, especially for a builder. Hope to see more of this soon. :+1:

Looks pretty good, high quality textures, but it would probably appear better if you added some textures
