Feedback on my simple house!

I would like some feedback on a simple but cozy house I made in rob lox studio. You can be as harsh as needs be because i’m always looking for new ways to improve. This is also my first post on the forums :stuck_out_tongue:

Woah!
It looks pretty great!
The color is unique, and I love how the windows have the yellow color that makes it looks like there are lights on.
I love it, keep up the great work!

A lot of points here:

  • The color choice is unnatural.
  • Door and windows are somewhat oddly placed to asymmetrical design, overall building is symmetrical.
  • The door’s window seems a bit higher than realistic height of one, considering the door knob.
  • Door knob is only one part(or looks like it), let’s see if we can add details on it. Also the color on the knob does not match well with the frames’ color.
  • Chimney is one part only, consider additional details; search help through Google Images or any kind of reference material.
  • Inconsistent window and door frames, especially thickness.
  • Walls are not that detailed, the material is not perfect. Try a texture or something.
  • Roof is flat and stale, can we have details here such as an addition of a texture?
  • No theme is specified or can be determined. What is your intended theme of the house?

In the other hand, the lower thing around the house seems alright. I guess this is another beginner’s work?

It’s alright, the green looks quite weird and especially with the wood texture.

The house looks good, I would just change the color of the body, you don’t normally see that many houses with a lime-green paint job, Other than that it looks great! :rocket:

Okay thats a bunch to take in, Im going to make sure I keep these certain things in mind when making a new build or something also the chimney is 2 parts. Thanks for the help.

Yeah Ive changed the colour now after I noticed it didn’t suit it, thanks.

I personally don’t like the wood plank material, maybe change it to smooth plastic? It’ll look more cartoonish, in a way.

There’s free model trees in the background, and they don’t go with the house color. None of the house colors go well together. The green with orange? c’mon. I don’t know what else to say.

Material seems a little off to begin with. I’d experiment a bit more with materials.

The simple house you made. Looks really good like all the different details you have gone for. But there is a couple of things to, improve on to make your house look more! better if this is your first time i think this looks really good!!

House
The color you have gone for, looks decent but doesn’t go will with it. I would recommend you add different colors to your house instead of having the same colors on the house itself and the details that’s on it. As seen below houses have different colors! such as white, black, brick, yellow, ect. I would suggest you make the front color like, a white or black brown color. As the material you have used is wood! i would go with a white/brown color to bring it out more! and add different details around it such as flowers, bushes, lights, ect. To look more better and you could change the brick material. To a stone material and add steel frames to your house!!

House Details
Houses have different details on them. I would recommend you add some windows on the side of the house and make the window on the, door more centered and smaller and add some frames around it to improve it more! And you could add some little stairs by the door piece and change the material on the door knob to a more golden color. To make it go well with the house, and the material on the chimney. Is one part you could add little brick, parts on it to give it more details. As seen below chimneys! have a stone color not a black material consider adding that to look more better…

Roof/Wall
The roof you have is a little, flat and doesn’t have no texture on it. Consider adding a “Asphalt Shingles” texture to look more better. Instead of having a brown material on your roof as that doesn’t go will with the style your going for. The material you added to the walls doesn’t go will try adding a texture, to as seen below houses! have different materials. Added to it such as stone, stucco, wood, ect. To the house i would recommend. You go with different materials to look more better!!

Outside Details
If you want to add outside details add some. Potted Plants, Flowers, Bushes, Trees, Gates, Driveway, Sidewalk, Ect.

Overall, you have done a great job on your house and i can’t wait to see more of your work very soon. Keep up the good work man!!

A window to the side of the house would look nice!

Yeah I realised I was changing the colours just to see what fits and green went alright at first then I changed stuff and now it doesn’t go aswell. Thanks for the constructive criticism though.

This is some great information that I’m going to use to my advantage when building a bunch of new things. This helps so much thank you very much.
