I’d like some feedback on my game, Pipe Rampage.
Please be honest with your opinions and thoughts, and you can be as harsh as you want.
You can provide information on why you think it has no concurrent players, what you like or dislike and if I should sponsor or advertise it, bug fixes, or other opinions. Also feel free to give me ideas and requests!
What I like about the game: It’s well executed.
What I don’t like: When they leave, there’s nobody to hit and just gets boring. (There’s nothing you can do)
What I want: I want it so there Npcs which can hit you and can get hit around the map until the game gets active players. I also want the wall for the wall pole to be a bit bigger because people can just jump over it.
Good work. What I liked about the game: looks polished, clean which I like (not a whole bunch of gui’s when you enter). I think until you build steady player numbers simple npcs would really help. I was in alone so I didn’t get to see any of your special death animations or player push backs etc. Not a big negative but you could adjust swing animations so players arms shoulders don’t seperate so much. Net net I think it’s a game I would enjoy playing in a busy server. Hopefully with some advertising or promotion you can build a better player count. Good luck.
Found this game accidentally. Came in not expecting the literal PIPE EXPLOSION SOUNDS AND KNOCKBACK. Love the Heavy Pipe weapon. Feels really satisfying. Will be trying to play this with my friends because they got sold on it for the wackiness.
Will say my main feedback is the pipe explosion sounds might be too loud / irritating / have too high EQ even when hitting a single enemy. So it hurts my ears when many enemies are hit at once. I play it on 20 volume and it’s quite loud, so I doubt I can play this for a long period of time without a headache. I suggest lowering the sheer volume of the pipe hit sound.
Very cool variety in the pipes and their abilities, was surprised to see even the first 3 pipes you can try out are quite distinct from each other in playstyle.
Playing the Killstreak pipe was wild, what gave you the idea for it?
The way the weapon acts and sounds is really satisfying, you could make the environment more interactive like knocking trees down or busting a hole in a wall! If ragdolling NPCs and players is so satisfying, I bet ragdolling the environment would level this up a LOT
Thanks for the feedback, and yeah, I can agree the sounds are too loud, so I’ve just released an update that added a music selector and volume slider, as well as new heavy pipe animations and most importantly, sound volume changes.
Also the idea of the killstreak pipe is, unsurprisingly, from Slap Battles, and I’m also working on making the game not as similar to it, as @ZINTICK said in post #8.
Thanks again for the feedback, and I hope you enjoyed the experience!
