Feedback on my tower defense game

Hi, I would like to have some feedback on my tower defense game since players don’t seem to be playing for long.
My game is kind of a solo project because I am really bad at building I had to get one of my friends to help me build the maps.
It would also be nice if you could provide suggestions to improve player playtime or increase the clicks on my sponsors
Here’s the link to my game: Tower Arena - Roblox
Thanks.

So personally, I would change the image on the game page, seems a big empty.
You could maybe add a screenshot of a map, or anything like that.

Then for the game itself, I really don’t like the HUB, when I joined your game I felt like I was going to be part of an experiment If I go inside the play “elevator”. Maybe make the HUB a little bit more colorful
Then I feel like the UI is a bit too blank, and maybe a bit too big.

And the for the gameplay, I liked the first map, I feel like it’s a good first map, even tho a bit small.
I think it’s a good idea too to add the ability to press 1,2,3 or 4 to choose the troops to place instead of clicking on the UI, or both.

And then obviously add some details, better animations, sounds for the characters, death animations.
Add some special characters too, to make your game different from the others.
And please add the cost of the troop under its name in the GUI.

If you fix all of this, it could be a decent game.

Thanks for your reply. I’m definitely adding all your suggestions.
Not showing the tower placement price is probably one of the reasons people don’t play very long, I completely forgot to add it.
Adding animations is going to be a bit hard though as I have very little experience in animating.
Anyway thanks again for spending your time to suggest improvements for my game I really appreciate it.

Don’t worry, all big games on Roblox weren’t made in 1-2 weeks.
Just take your time to make everything as good as you can! If you’re really stuck, ask help to someone.

For animating I suggest you go look some videos on Youtube about animating in general, not just Roblox Animations. Go pick up a good animating software like Blender, and just mess with it.
And for adding new mechanics, be sure to focus on one before beginning the other! Don’t get too overwhelmed, or you’ll want to stop.
Right now I’ll suggest that you add first all “important” mechanics, like better animations, sounds…
Then add new content, just so you already have the basics of your game.
(I would also suggest closing your game for now, and releasing it later)

Anyways, have fun making your game, and when it’s more playable, just hit me up!

Is killing the zombies the only way to get cash? If so, maybe a 50 * wave number after each wave would be good.

If I’m being honest, there’s not really a reason why players should chose your game over the actual Tower Defense Simulator that is so well known and that has won awards and has its own Roblox mini figures. It’s not the worst I’ve seen, but it needs some work. The UI, for example, could use some polishing in my opinion. The map I joined was pretty nice, but it felt like I was in TDS. If making a game like TDS is what you were aiming for, you did pretty good! Also, I would try not just using noobs for all of the characters, unless you want to call it Noob Tower Arena. The building also might need some work and detail, but that’s not important right now. (Both the lobby and grassy map I joined.)

Overall, neat game, and I actually enjoyed it a bit too, I just personally can’t see it surpassing or really coming close to the popularity of TDS unless you find a way to make yours unique. Let me know if you have any concerns or questions, thanks.

The lobby is a little bit empty, I think it could use some landscape or something, just anything other than the void outside, unless that’s what you’re going for.

Whenever you click one of the buttons in the main menu, stats or towers, it should close the other menu. Currently, you can have the stats and shop menu open at the same time.

Images for the towers in the store would be helpful at seeing what you are buying.

I really like the map in game, it is built well. The UI is a little long, and the skip wave box is very large.
Tower prices and sell prices need to be shown, it is awful to play the game without knowing the prices.
Some music and sound effects would help to make the game less dull.

Overall a decent game, but will be much better after these are fixed.

Your definitely right. Players would more likely choose a more established game. That’s why i’m planning on adding a few features to make the game unique.
Also the towers aren’t just going to be noobs those are kind of temporary tower designs until I finish fixing bugs and adding features.

The lobby is very good, and I don’t have any issues with it at all.
However, the actual game is very nice, and I felt like I was in actual TDS
There is only one wave I beg to get through without skipping the wave, and that is wave 20, where you’re just shredding the enemies, and then this boss just comes out of nowhere and destroys my run. I only still have the pistol tower, but I wish it was just a slim easier.

It is very good, though.

Edit: The skip wave UI is very big.

Yeah I probably do need to balance the game a bit better. Also I recently changed the lobby that’s probably why it looks slightly better since the old one was really bad. Anyway thanks for spending time to review my game I will rebalance the boss and change the ui size
