I’ve been working on an RPG game with basic mechanics and art style, more focused on engaging exploration, story, and occasional combat. I have put together a “tutorial” world just to wring out some game feel problems. I can tell some things are missing but I can’t put my finger on exactly what. Looking for feedback, you can try the level here:
Things I’m most looking for feedback on:
Combat, I want the combat to feel smooth and responsive while also being fairly simple.
Character/World building, a big part of my game will be the characters. Looking for improvements on any part of them. Design, dialogue, animations, anything you notice
Atmosphere, a problem I’ve had is finding the right lighting/fog settings, I’ve played around with them for hours but I cant seem to find a nice feel.
Environment, something I’ve put some thought into is how I want to build the world, through roblox terrain or with parts. In this test I used roblox terrain, would love feedback on if this is the right choice or not.
Finally, any large bugs found. Anything small doesn’t worry me too much as this is just a very early test, but from what I’ve tested, there isn’t any game breaking or super frustrating bugs, so if any are found I would appreciate them being reported.
For those of you that made it this far and played through the test, thank you testing is so important and very difficult so even playing through this tiny snippet is a major help.
