Hello there! I am in need of feedback on my UI designs and It would be nice if you told me a way to protect my UI from other people.(Stealing UI)

Thank you for your feedbacks

Very nice there, one thing I would change however is the border thickness on the first one:

I would make it slightly less thick. Though overall you did a pretty good job.

The UIs look very nice. I feel it would go good for a pirate type of game. I feel like the Uis make you think of being on a pirate ship in the ocean.

I will try to do that as soon as possible.

This looks very nice!
But the X looks a little bit funny, I recommend using a different font.
Also, on the first one which is the speech bubble, you should add tears and deformities on the bottom and the right side.
Overall, it looks very good!

Thank you but I have a question. Wouldn’t it be really easy to remove watermarks from these type of UI’s?

I think you misunderstood, I was telling that wouldn’t it be easy for the people who steal the content to remove the watermarks…

The DevForum is able to be accessed than those who aren’t Members (or any type of member), therefore people could just steal this from here.

Personally I feel as if the 2nd UI feels somewhat unnatural (in my eyes) I think this is related to their being a shadow though I can see how that would fit. Maybe add something to make it more obvious that the cross banner is hanging or whatever its doing. Maybe try make it less square shaped as well.

Other than that, it looks nice!

If you want to make it harder to remove watermarks, you can make the watermarks half opaque as well as adding different tone shades in order to make it so that its more difficult to remove without messing up the whole piece.

I improved the Dialog UI as you said.

I think your watermark is over the top, both in size and amount. It may be more suitable to make a layer thats as large as the area outside of the actual UI then another layer that fills the UI with watermarks under it, then merge these two layers so your watermark is only on the actual UI.

I recommend making it much smaller (the watermark). This is a dialogue UI, if you have too much text on it, then no one will be able to read the actual dialogue. Perhaps a single watermark in the corner would be more suitable?

I don’t think that I will use these water marks in-game. Because of the shadows they wouldn’t be able to take a screenshot without the background of the game.

If you’re worried about them stealing it from in-game, the easiest solution would be to make the actual UI somewhat transparent, which will help maintain appearance. Maybe you could keep the border opaque whilst the interior is just translucent? (Though that’s my opinion)

Does it look worse or better?

Thank you so much. Btw this is my first UI design made on Photoshop. I’m really glad to see people like my work

Its look better, in my opinion.

The actual UI feels like its somewhat been stretched? Perhaps I feel this way because of the large gap here which feel unnatural in comparison to how the gaps in the side are so close together?

It is not stretched but I will keep that in mind and try to add another one there.

mm Okay, so should I make it or not?

You can try make both and then compare them side by side and see which of the two you prefer. In the end, it comes down to your own personal preference and the usage. Does the UI design hinders it usage? Is it too small to be practical for its usage? Ask questions like these to yourself when making UIs.

In the end, usability trumps quality.
