So for a game Jam contest I decided to throw in a punch animation, since everything has to be self made I decided to open the Animation Editor for the first time ever lol. It’s a little bit laggy because FPS tends to drop when recording through gyazo. Let me know what I can improve on
It looks like a half dab to me. Maybe you should make it slow then make it go faster when he punches. I am not good at animation, I am just imaginating this in my head so I am not 100% if that will make it better. Good luck buddy!
For your first animation this is pretty decent, I’d just recommend changing the pace at which the punch is thrown (unless that is intended) and I’d recommend making the other arm punch as well after the first lunge is done.
Cool, great for your first animation. I recommend lessening the amount that the arm is thrown across the chest after the punch is thrown (the follow-through?) Other than that, looks great. Good job.
For a first, pretty neat! You seem to have the basic Idea of keyframing down, now you should move to timing! some tips
If you right click the frame on a part you can set the easing mode!
If you right click the main keyframe (at the very top) you can set animation events, so if you need to trigger something in the middle of an animation, you can!
