I made a new lobby using blender for the first time, so tell me what you think about it. If you would like to play the game, its called Strange World 3. Although the area is in the season of summer, I am going to change it to Winter soon. Also I am a beginner in scripting/building(been using studio for about a year).
Hello! Your lobby seems cool, I’m not sure what lighting technique you are using but you should try to use ShadowMap (if you aren’t) and see if that intenses the lighting a little. You could also detail the paths a little more by using CSG or just using textures. Otherwise, it’s a cool lobby for your game and would love to see what it looks like in winter.
You could add some assets around the map such as grass, plants and etc. You can also add more trees but different ones.
You can make the path look slightly better by adding things like benches or lamp posts, and you can also change the lighting to make the lobby look warm and cozy.
But overall, great job!
I like the style a lot. One thing i think a lot of lobby’s do wrong though is they fail to keep the players engaged while waiting. Larger open areas like that might make people feel bored, while more closed in areas make people feel more engaged and can often spark more talk among the players. A lot of popular minigames have good examples of what I’m talking about.
Your main goal should be keeping the players engaged, the obby and the courses are a good starting point here, just work on the main area and you are golden!
