Feedback on new UI

In my game Strange World 3, I made a major update with my UI’s. I have learned how to make UI’s curve and have custom images. I changed my shop menu, settings tab, and other things. If you think I should edit my UI’s then tell me. Any feedback on my UI’s would be great, THX.

I think the UI design is OK, but:

I think you need to develop a style for the game, and use it throughout all of the UI. First, the colors feel like they were randomly picked from the rainbow. Second, there’s no correlation between any of the GUI.

The coin collecting menu is a rounded solid color, with the exit button that says “Back” (which covers the title, which is also bad)

The regular menu is a solid color that has much more round corners with shadow, along with an exit button that says “Exit”

The settings is rounded with a transparent background, and a “Back” button in a different size and font

Finally, the codes menu has that same blue back button but in a different size. And the background is not rounded at all.

I know this post was kind of all over the place, but my main point is there should be a specific style that all of the UI follows, like the same round background with the same transparency, the same exit button, and use the same font for all the titles.

First of all, I’d recommend adding images, or even a video, of your UI. This makes it easier for people to review your UI without actually going in-game.

@K_reex covered basically everything I didn’t mention in this post.

I’d reccomend adding tweening, as the sudden changes can be jarring, and look unprofessional.

I’d also recommend making UI stacking impossible. UI stacking is when different UI’s can stack on top of each other, making it hard to close them.

Finally, try making your UI’s smaller, or at least a uniform size. Because your game is an adventure game, having a UI that takes up most, if not all, of the screen can annoy players, and make the game harder, and less enjoyable.

Good luck!

The COLORS maybe not so bright and popping. Some relaxing colors that way it doesn’t strain the eyes of the players
