Feedback on old logo vs new

I wanted to make a new logo for my image, the old one wasn’t that modern and was a bit too busy.

New:

Not iconic enough, but pretty simple I think it’s all good

The new one looks like the lua logo.

I like the way it turned out, it’s quite clean.

the new logo is good but i think you should make the C bigger to give it more of a central focus

I like them! Pretty basic though, very good if you are new though!

I think that the old one would look good if the line was discarded, giving more space for the 3 assets and for them to spread apart. The new definitely looks simpler, and would look much better if the C was scaled at a larger size.

Maybe a bit more information behind what the logo is being used for could be insightful on what we should be looking for.

The newer one is a lot less crowded and complicated, however that’s not always a good thing. As someone else said, it’s not very iconic. But I mean hey, that’s where most logos are headed now so, .

The new one looks more organized, while the old one is just a buncha shapes put together.

i think the new logo needs more deco or atleast make the green circle a bit bigger?
or even make the C text bigger

What is the logo supposed to represent?

Is the new one supposed to look like :open_mouth: but sideways?

Kinda like this? (but minus the extra eye)

Also is the C for Chicago?

like @wallofgarlic said, the logo has no meaning behind, it
a well designed logo should have obvious meaning on what the group is about

also what does the C stand for? generally logos should take up as much space on the icon since usually icons from far away are hard to see the details, like if your icon was supposed to resemble a palette, you could maybe make it into the color of wood and a somewhat shape of a palette and you could have many different colors and have no letters on it
