Feedback on punch system

Made my first punch system, feedback would be appreciated

Awesome work! Looks great! With the animation though, I’d make it slightly more exaggerated, and possibly a bit faster, other than that, you’ve done really well!

uhmmmm it was really bad tho,

  • The Animation is too slow so that make none sense with the punchFX it load.
    Do you think the enemy is pushed too far?
    hmmmmmmmm oh and don’t make the PunchFX become bigger and dissappear, make it
    go straight and dissa… yea! like that.

yeah the animation definitely needs some work, as OBCBeeDev said it doesn’t make sense with the knockback too, maybe use this as a reference?

Idk much on vfx though, I don’t think i can help you on that

I dont think im a fan of welding vfx to limbs, i usually just offset them from the humanoidrootpart, for me vfx is just mix and match, combine some things and it’ll somehow work out

How do you keep vfx attached to a player without welds? The only other way I can think of is a for loop that constantly updates a vfx’s position to the player’s position.

Also thank you for that reference clip i’ll be changing the animation later

It depends on what you whether you want vfx to follow the character, in my example it doesnt and it’ll just be at a fixed position, which works just fine

I like the punch system, but I suggest making the punch animation feel a lot more stronger.
