Feedback on "Resources"

In the Mannequin Models section, there should be a wider variety of classic mannequins available for clothing production. Recently, the Roblox Learn channel released a video demonstrating how to cage 3D clothing using a mannequin based on the “Roblox Boy” bundle, which is currently not categorized. This bundle should be properly categorized in the mannequin options.

Additionally, there should be more selection when choosing mannequins—not just the “Woman” option but also “Roblox Girl”, “Roblox Boy”, and “Man” bundles.

Additionally, I believe some of the 'Reference" avatar bodies on that page unfortunately don’t validate under the current maketplace policies; I at least know that the ‘Blocky’ reference character wouldn’t validate due to quite a number of triangles being zero-area within the cage-mesh and that is making it so it is no longer allowed to pass validation. Ideally, the references should also be updated as so each of them can be up to date with current bundle requirements.

May file my own report on that if I can confirm for definite that the meshes haven’t yet been fixed.

Hi @JuanGamerPlayz_RBLX, thanks for reaching out!

I agree with you that we should have every body type mannequin available on the doc site (and more). There are some complexities here that makes this harder than it seems but I’ll chat with the team again to see if we can host some additional examples.

In the meantime, you can get the clothing cages from the video in the Resources page. And from the clothing cages you can convert it to a body cage (and mannequin) of the Roblox boy using the techniques in my recent video. Hopefully this can help unblock you for this particular body type.

@Abcreator - Thanks for flagging this. I am also under the impression that some of the resources on the resources page don’t meet our latest validation rules (many were uploaded years ago before validation was a thing). However, the current blocky body should have an updated cage and no longer has the zero-area triangles issue.

If you find more issues like this, please open a new bug report. It’ll take some time to audit the available content we have, but I’d be happy to escalate anything urgent.

Best to both of you!
