This is a building style found all over Romania, but especially in the hills of Southern Romania. How can i make this better? It’s still work in progress, also, ignore the environment, i won’t add any trees or anything right now, but when i will, i’ll also add other outdoor features, such as fences, a gate, etc.
Instead of putting the crosses on each side of the house, I sudjust you put it on the front because it being on the sides just looks weird to me. Other than that good job
Looks great! You should probably add lanters on each side of the entrance, and they shouldn’t light up the place too much, though.
This is just some extra detail for the outside area, you should add a chair next to a small table with a candle, a ‘warning’ sign etc.
Overall, it looks really detailed and you should keep up working on this project, as you’re doing really good so far!
The sudden change from light to dark doesn’t really go well, in my opinion at least. I would suggest to make the base colour more darker and maybe add some scenery to liven it up more
I’ve moved this to Cool Creations since that’s the category for threads seeking general feedback.
I used to live in Transylvania but I’ve never seen this type of building style before.
It’s common south of the Carpathians, especially in the counties of Prahova and Dambovita, in the Subcarpathian hills, i’ve seen this style used all over Romania though, including Maramures iirc.
Also, i used a building guide for traditional architecture in the Prahova area for some of the details. I could send you a link if you want.
The Transylvanian style is a bit different, being influenced by the Saxons and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, so it developed it’s own style. Other than this, there are already lots of regional differences in architecture outside Transylvania. A good example of a house similar to the one i made is Casa Glod, from the Apuseni mountains.
