I’ve recently started advertising my RTS game The Art of War and things are not going too well.
The thesis of my game
Roblox RTS is characterized by a low unit cap and macro strategy. In the case of (TC3), players can only have up to 15 soldiers, 10 ish tanks, and so on. The strategic emphasis is on unit composition and base positioning. Micromanagement exists, but it’s limited by the lack of target-firing and abilities.
I think this is an excellent approach, but I wanted to try something different and focus on micro interactions by adding abilities, increasing the unit cap, and cutting out unit production and base building. Examples: stutterstepping + splitting and longer footage
I’ve run some ads, and none of them have done well
I’ve also asked some youtubers to try out my game, but none of them have responded (except for one, he played on stream and 90% of the visits I have now came from that). I’ve posted some updates on twitter, but received less than 50 views on each.
What am I doing wrong? Should I revise my thesis? Are there bugs or lag? How can I improve my ads?
