Hey everyone. I just made a rundown factory area for the Chapter 2 of my game. I made it in about 1 hour so let me know what I could add to make it look more “Scary”.
Thanks.

You should definitely make the area much darker. It’s pretty well lit for a “scary” game. The lights also shouldn’t stem from each individual ceiling light, but instead be a single part. You’re ceiling lights also appear to only be touching the roof and nothing else. Try dragging the lights down and or increase the range.
Your pillars should be more than cylinders. They are pretty bland and don’t add too much appeal towards your game. The trees are very obviously a different style and I don’t exactly understand why you would need trees growing in a facility. There is no other overgrow in the images.
Overall, the biggest issue comes down to the lighting. As I said, try using a singe part for rooms or use fewer lights. Hope this finds you well!
It would be cool if it has flickering lights every once in a while to give you some false sense of safety, where you are in the light but still in the darkness because of the inconsistency with it flickering.
Rundown factory rings a few bells in my head which I see a lack of in your build; which are conveyors, rust, machinery, gears, tools, and definitely not a neon sign.
It looks more like a desolate shopping mall, especially since a factory does not have a porcelain tiled floor, but just concrete.
This rundown factory build looks very good! You should add more scattered things/items on the ground to make it look abandoned. Nice job on it!
