Feedback on Set of Knives

Helloooo,
It is I, ALEX! (yeah this is probably the first post you see from me :pensive:)
But, nevertheless,

Here's a set of Karambits I made.

I recently fell in love with asian knives

I am unsure about the texturing of the Kunai though  (The one to the left)

Update:

As always feedback is:

very appreciated 🤗

They look really nice! I love how you put so much details onto them

Nicely made!

I appreciate the amount of detail too. If you’re making it a tool, try adding some animations!

The blade kinda seems a bit flat to me but good job on everything else

These look really solid! The first one does feel a bit off though, having all “Silver” on the Kunai gives it a weird appearance

Maybe looking at a reference could help, but overall it looks really good!

got rid of the shiny/silvery effect and slightly darkened the color

Thanks!

try adding shape on to the blade it self

The time and efforts you had put into this work that is beyond excellence.

They’re some of the better Karambits I’ve seen in a while. The amount of detail is pretty impressive. If I was going to recommend anything I’d add a bit more detail on the blade itself, it looks a bit flat.

I listened to your suggestions to make the blade more dimensional.

Here it is

Oh my lord The white one with the blue- looking waves looks amazing! :flushed:
So much detail in them!

Try using smoothing shading to make the blade look smoother?

Everything is great, except the colors. They don’t seem to match/seem too far apart. You can try Create a Palette - Coolors to generate colours.

Ty!
I have updated that one too and added a gradient on the blade.

I really like that texture with clouds/waves as well, I try to use it in everything I do

yeah I’m not very good when it comes to choosing colours :frowning:
I will try to experiment with different colours, thanks for your feedback!

already looks better, maybe smooth out the gradient more?

heyyy.

I tried with smooth shading on the blade...

And I’m very intrigued by the result
Thanks!

Try turning on autosmooth, and marking that middle edge as sharp(maybe youre using something that isnt blender idk).

Hey! I’m using blender yes, but I’m a beginner-ish so I’m not quite sure how to mark the middle edge as sharp, and I seem to have auto smooth enabled by default

(if it’s the same auto smooth you meant)
