Feedback on the loading screen

I’ve made a cool (in my opinion) loading screen and so I wanna share it.

Any feedback is appreciated!

I like it! Only thing I would change is how fast it fades into and out of the loading screen, Id say make it slower, as right now it makes me feel a little uneasy.

Other than that, I love it! The font and everything is just great!

I like doing weird things, but it’s sad that you don’t like it.
Could you elaborate on why exactly you don’t like it? Maybe I could make some changes so that you and people like you will like it more.

I made it a bit slower. If it’s still too unsettling then I guess It’s better to change animation a bit or make a different one, but that’s for a different day.

is the “Loading 3/3” part for all the assets?

to be honest i would make the spinning line under it faster for a more “fluid” motion.

  1. Yesn’t. Each map has folders under it which contains seperate map’s parts. (“cube” map has 5 parts: voting pads, cubes, grass blocks, spawnpoints and music instance; “red/blue-plate” maps have 3 parts: platform, spawnpoints and music instance). Each 1.5 seconds server puts 1 part into workspace.
    I don’t really know how to make a “server-side” loading properly so I did this. It is probably better to make it client-sided, but then I would have to sync it so that others would need to wait for others to load and etc. I wanted to do it asap so I did it like this and if it won’t work well on playtests with my friends I will try to switch to client-side.

  2. Here how it looks faster (one changes each 0.2 seconds the other one each 0.1 seconds).

I really like this UI, the little map name, everything fits together nicely. reminds me of gang beasts. nicely done!

This is much better! I dont think the animation itself was unsettling, ig how fast it moved made me feel nauseous for whatever reason.

yeah, i like it.

i feel like the logo shouldn’t come from the top, and instead it should come from the middle of the screen.

its great but the game loaded first and the player and was able to walk and then the animation played and after it finished playing it started playing again at 0:14

I don’t really understand what you’re trying to say.
If you mean that the player can see how the game unloads before the loading screen appears, that’s just timing that needs to do some work.
About it playing twice, it was intentional.

This is very nice and well made. Idk if it’s just me but I can see the passion being put in this. Also it looks like ur tryna make a weapon mayhem type of game.(one of my fav games) and it looks good so far.

And ik this is unrelated but try fixing the hot bar ui it just doesn’t look as good as ur loading screen. Especially the different text sizes. Ik this is wayyy extra work but try having images for each, it’ll look way better in my opinion. It’s something I took the extra step to do. (Ignore how every thing else looks a little weird rn just see the images)


And this probably is unnecessary but try making it that every time u load the direction of the background image (the studs) is different like up or down upper right diagonal u name it. Itll add a little spice and life to ur game trust me.

Thanks for the feedback! The game is indeed a weapon mayhem type of game (inspired by item asylum obviously lol and allusions).

Yeah, the different directions thingy does make it feel a bit nicer.

The toolbar design was inspired by The Hunt lobby one and I don’t really know what other design to make for it (especially considering the fact I still don’t know what UI style the game will have, but working on loading screen and nico’s nextbots does give me a general idea), but if you’re talking about it not being really consistent (e.g. different text sizes) then I will just have to work on it.

The images thing isn’t really an extra work since all weapons in my game are roblox gears, all of which already come with images for them. Though it’s a different story if I will make my own images for them, but my art skills aren’t good right now lol.

Oh then please use images for them! I’m sure they would look way better!! You can just put the name at the top in white or something

To be honest I should’ve said more but I was in a rush that day and kinda wanted to ragebait.

But yeah basically the parts which make it bad are the texts below the photo randomly moving around. Everything else that you’ve done is very unique and well done. It’s just because the texts are very visible on the screen so it makes the whole loading screen feel weird.

So yeah just keep the texts in place and then I would really like it.

This loading screen is INSANELY GOOD! Excellent job on it! How long did it take for you to make it? What’s the game it will be used in? I rate it 10/10! It’s unique for Roblox games!
