Feedback on the waiting room for a Training Center

I’ve recently tried to build a modern-styled Training Center, I’ve put a lot of work into it (around 2 hours - yes, I’m a bit slow of a Builder, don’t feel like rushing) and like the way the waiting room turned out, however, I feel like there are several features that could be improved.

Do you believe I could improve the waiting room in any way, if so how? Currently, my main worry and/or issue is measurements. So if you notice any measurement (symmetry, sizes etc.) let me know!

Any feedback is heavily appreciated.

It looks really open. It could use some designs and whatnot, there are too many windows. You could put GFXs “ads” on the walls of the game. It feels like it’d be awkward to be there. Also, for the quality… just turn up your studio graphics. gj

I may not be a builder but compared to other things I’ve seen it looks really good. It looks a bit weird with the windows on the ceiling but overall it looks pretty nice. :+1:

edit: it also looks pretty empty so a little decoration should help

Thank you for the feedback! I will be asking if they have any graphics I could use. As for my graphics, both of my graphics cards are currently malfunctioning so I unfortunately cannot really do anything about that.

Yeah, decoration really isn’t a quality of mine I can say I’m good at. Thanks for the feedback!

I see a lot of modern style centers don’t feature a lot of details in the real world they normally have white colored roofs and walls with the wood texture added to it but I’m not sure modern training centers have a bunch of windows?

At the moment it looks pretty decent it doesn’t need a lot of details placed everywhere training centers tend to have basic objects around, I’ll keep it the way it is at the moment I can see it’s rather big, try placing a few decor such as plants, hanging ceiling lights, some wall decor on the walls such tv or chairs next to the entrance with a carpet.

If your looking for small ideas to add, definitely try looking at existing builds or images of the things that you are trying to create. Doing this will give you a lot of ideas. Looking good as said in your post don’t rush always take your time.

The area is super open, I recommend adding some floor plants to possibly fill in the space. It would add a really nice & modern touch to the whole room.

Try adding some plants to touch up the room, it looks a little bland.

Overall, it’s not bad, but if you’re looking for more high-end design/details then you may want to improve the sofas, they’re a bit blocky. The lobby itself looks a bit more like a factory, so you might want to add more formal details to keep it airport-themed. But the concept itself isn’t bad at all, you just need a bit of practicing. Once you grind your skills, it’ll come out perfectly!

I have noticed some things.

  • The vents on the ceiling could use more detail. Maybe you can extend the black lines so it poses as airlocks. Kinda just:

  • The couches could be more “soft”. Try adding some pillows!

  • There is too much glass on the ceiling. If you’re going for a modern look, try changing the texture instead of putting glass. A lot of ceilings have built in neon lights, you might wanna add that.

  • Try adding more transparency to the glass to make it look more than glass. Right now it looks invisible.

Hope these help you with your development!

Thank you for your suggestion! I will surely look into that. And yeah, it was my first attempt actually putting detail into builds. I mainly worked into low poly in the past.

Got to say, finally someone brought up my weakness: furniture. I genuinely just can’t get it right. Any tutorials I could look at?

Well you could use… Unions? I would suggest one of my videos for that. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-zRNklrRsk&t=60s

I’d suggest blender, check out some tutorials like from Blender Guru on youtube or other similar channels :sunglasses:

It looks nice, But I think the couch could use some more texture.
