Hello again, you might be pretty familiar with all my screens at this point lol. So I just whipped up an achievements screen for my game, and I just wanted to know if you guys liked the looks of it, or if there’s something I should change.
The idea for the stars would be like, the number of stages that achievement has. And if you have none completed, the stars would all be dim. And for each stage you’ve completed, +1 stars would become fully lit. Only thing I’m unsure about is perhaps if players think they already completed it if all three stars were dim, not sure.
personally i think the stars should be just an outline when not completed and fill in as opposed to dim and lit
i think it’d look better with your style
When I think of stars, I think of how well I did in achieving something, not if I achieved it or not. Could use a progress bar. If you are absolutely set on using stars, maybe add a stamp to show when an achievement has been earned.
I think you need more contrast. The achievements blends in with the frame. Good way to assess a design:
I actually really like that. I’m not keen on the image used for the stars. they need to be a flat style to fit with the UI, and I agree the stars should be outlines when they’re not completed. I also think the back arrow could be a smaller, filled triangle (around the size of the achievements title text) rather than a large line icon.
Agreed with cjcool. A progress bar is the way to go. As for the back arrow, you could make it smaller and encase it in a transparent black box. One more thing: The two colors of the slider gui are barely distinguishable from each other. Making the dark one darker or the light one lighter would solve this.
Hey, so I made another draft. I wondered how this looked. I honestly think this is an improvement, and honestly, I kind of really like it, but that’s just me. Just wondered if there’s anything here I should change, or if it really doesn’t look as good as I think it does. xd
