This is my first car lift, what could I improve?

The lift doesnt look like if it were to be in real life capable of holding up a car, if you just make the mechanism seem more realistic.

Where are the wires leading to and where is the “rail” for the platform to move along on?
Other than that, your build looks very nice and I love your style.

Fairly good, I think you could make the metal wiring black plastic instead, make the electric box wedged and add beveled edges to pillars with wedges, otherwise it’s quite good. Also, add tracks to the base as another user has already stated.

I think this looks quite nice! I’m not a huge car/car maintenance guy and I’m not a specialist in car lifts but I personally have an idea on how you can improve on the bottom of the car lift.
I was never a fan of an abundance of diamondplate, so for these parts:
You could maybe use a design like this:
It gives a nice mixture of colours and a nice more solid design, though if used in a real life setting I’m not quite sure if it would mess with the car wheels or anything else
