I’ve been working on a house design for my horror game and would love to get your feedback. It’s a modern-style house from the 2000s and some cozy furniture, but I’m not sure if the lighting and layout are hitting the mark. Here’s a screenshot:
What do you think about the atmosphere, furniture placement, and overall vibe? Any suggestions for improvement or details I might be missing? I’d really appreciate your input
When you make something that 99.99% of the population would have intense difficulty recreating… that’s when you know you’ve done a great job. Personal preference I don’t really like a lot of use of the wooden planks but everything else looks phenomenal especially the image with the ceiling fan and the square tiles on the floor. Keep up the amazing work
As the others have said, it’s fundamentally very good. Please don’t be offended by these suggestions, but I always find criticism more useful than “it’s great”.
I would reduce the size of the planks on the floor in the bedroom (squares of 4 planks), they look too large to me.
The ceilings look too high, but I’m guessing this is a third person camera compromise.
The archway in the last image shows the wall looking about half as thick as I would expect.
The bathroom is too big.
Generally it feels very sterile, and sparse; that’s cool if it is the look you are going for, but it could easily take more rugs / pictures / wall lamps / furniture / clutter / dirt.
All that empty rack space in the cellar.
Stools for the kitchen island. More units. Nothing left out on the worktop / stove? Something wrong with the shadows above the wall cupboards with a downlighter above them.
This horror house interior looks AWESOME! Great job on it! The emptier it feels, the better! How long did it take to make this? What will the game be about?
Looks great, but in my opinion some parts seem kind of empty. It’s missing a lot of assets. Here is a few I can think of. Clock, shelves, tables, rugs.
