Feedback on this Japanese bridge

Hiya, I’m currently making a showcase based on the Bentendo Hall and bridge found at the Daigoji Temple in Kyoto, Japan. I have only made the bridge so far and I wanted some feedback on the way it looks. I’ll provide some pictures of my build and then the real life comparison. All feedback is appreciated!

Now some real photos of the bridge:

This looks pretty spot on! Personally I would desaturate some of the colors a bit to fit with the less vibrant colors of the terrain, but other than that you really brought the reference photo to life!

The wood grain for the planks are facing the wrong way.

it doesn’t have the vibrant colors, and it just overall looks like an old roblox build. no textures, too boxy. not great reflections and all…

Thanks! Didn’t even notice that until you said it.

Thanks! I didn’t realize that at all, I’ll fix it up.

The bridge itself is very well detailed and It does capture Japan’s aesthetic for it. I have no complaints.

I really like it. The only thing I have a problem with is it’s very bland in terms of colors. The actual details of the build are pretty much spot-on.

Dang! Wood reviewer 2? That’s pretty cool to be honest.
Jokes aside, a message to the OP of this post.
The building is great! You did a great job.

Very well made! :astonished: If you wanted to have a more realistic look, try putting other wood textures in toolbox on the parts instead of the default textures.

I would say use regular plastic and some wood textures instead of smooth plastic, still looks amazing though.
