Just made this UI a couple minutes ago, its kinda blank rn, but I thought I’d get some thoughts on it before I continue working on it!
I love it; it reminds me of my favorite YouTube downloader cobalt.
I wish I could give constructive criticism, but so far it’s perfect for me so keep working on it.
There are some minor misalignments but I think it may just be the screenshot cropping
seems pretty fine to me, maybe the font on the search could be different to fit it more.
the font doesnt exactly fit the icons imo
To me it has this kind of visually pleasing dev look to it. Like the monospace fonts and grayscale color palette make it look developer-y whilst the modern yet simplistic high-contrast icons soften the appearance, making it more accessible. Kind of like the website I mentioned in my first post—also GitHub to a some extent
doesnt change my opinion
I wasn’t trying to :) Sorry if it appeared that way
I agree, a different and bolder font might fit in better
This UI is great! Good job on it! I rate it 10/10! It does its job well! How long did it take to make? What is it for? It’s cool!
Maybe 30-ish minutes I think.
@PreciseGaps @Polygonizised
Do yalls have any suggestions for fonts? From my search I couldnt find one that just worked
maybe source sans or something similar
Looks neat! would love to see how it works when you interact with it
You mentioned lack of satisfaction with the font, try experimenting with each one and see what suits it best? make sure it’s bold I think that will definitely add to it.
It looks neat! The only thing that is out of is the font for the search, try changing it to match the UIs. Overall, it’s 10/10, keep up with it.
If you’re gonna change it I recommend choosing another monospace font. Maybe I’m a bit biased though since I handwrite all my notes in monospace
it’s give me minimalist windows 11 vibes, which is good.
Thats what I was going for lol, glad I did it good enough!
the icons in the file menu feel pretty large (compared to windows which i use anyways)
