Is there anything I should improve on before adding backgrounds etc?
Also what kind of background would fit this kind of GFX?

The two people up front don’t really seem scared by the bomb. Maybe make them running with their arms flailing behind their back!

I really like the smoothness of the characters and the reflections on them, I also like the characters that you have chosen for the graphics design. A few oh my suggestions would be…

  • The characters look like they are walking away when they should be running away
  • The light from the bomb is too bright
  • You could make the fire on the bomb more visible
  • Could use a different material for the bomb

I think that I good background for this would be a nature-like scene, deathrun would be a great example.
