About:
Hi! I would like to introduce my latest project: Venture Factory, a combination of sandbox tycoon and peaceful exploration in which gameplay gradually becomes more complex with progression. Features include automation and exploration with more complex resource management and eventually energy management once advanced mode is released.
Development:
This has been an on and off passion project for the past few years as I loved playing sandbox tycoons on Roblox when I was younger. After returning to development a few months ago after another break, I’ve revamped the UI, changed animations, fixed bugs, rebalanced gameplay, and added new features. I have also been fortunate to acquire a small community of people who love playing sandbox tycoons as much as I do, and they have helped development significantly by catching bugs and giving suggestions.
Feedback:
I would love to receive feedback from new perspectives on gameplay, art style, bugs, lag, or any anything else you may notice. All feedback is very helpful, though I would especially like to understand the first impressions for people who don’t typically play sandbox tycoons. Thank you!
Honestly I’ve been playing this for about an hour or two now and it’s really enticing. The background music is nice, the whole vibe of the game just feels nice.
It does feel a bit bland at times though, the environment, colors, a bit of gameplay, etc. There are also a few typos here and there:
Anyways I think the game just needs some refinement, advertising, and something else to give it that spice to make it just unique enough to get picked up by a larger audience.
Great game, ty for bringing back some miner’s haven memories
So glad you enjoyed my game! Tbh I’ve noticed something bland about the game too whenever I replay but I can’t pinpoint it. Trying to think of what features I could add that aren’t random item crates from the sky
I just added a weather system to the game so the scenery can change every few minutes while people stay at their base. I hope I’m going in the right direction to make the game less bland after playing for a bit. Still trying to think of one more feature to add to make gameplay more engaging if needed, but I’m worried of overcomplicating the gameplay with too many features
