Feedback on Volcanic Environment needed!

Hey everyone, I created this lava cave environment and was looking to get some feedback on how it came out! I was hoping to capture the feeling of being inside a large volcano or something of that nature. I made the rocks using blender! I hope you all like it

This is something I’ve wanted to make for awhile now! I always thought a lava cave environment would be extremely fun and challenging to create, feedback on it would be appreciated!

That looks amazing!

The only thing I would really recommend is maybe a blur effect.
When you are near very hot objects, you can see a visible blur of hot air above it.

The build is great, 10/10

Thank you for the idea! I’ll see if I can implement that sort of blur/haze you’re talking about.

the whole environment looks great. the lava, the rocks, the textures, and the lighting.
small suggestion would be adding some more effects to make it seem hotter.

great reference is zelda:totk’s volcano environment (+ tons of other games):

Thank you! I did actually have zelda open on my switch while building LOL. It gave me a really good idea on how to go about making the environment, I’ll see if I can implement some more particle effects!

Yes it did give me some nether vibes!

Love the pool of lava. Beautiful work!

The stalactites / stalagmites look cool but seem out of place. They don’t work with the waterfall of lava you have going. They are created by single drops not rivers.

Maybe change the lava waterfalls to look more like they are creating the stalactites / stalagmites. Make them like two cones of lava stuck together.

Almost like lava teeth with lava saliva strung between them.

Thank you for the idea, I’ll test out some ways I can replicate it!

This volcanic environment you have created is INSANELY GOOD AND REALISTIC! The graphics and colors are great! Nice job on this! How long did it take to make in total? What will you use it in? I rate it 10/10!

Thank you, it took roughly 8 hours to create it. I’m not planning to use it for anything, was just some fun building practice!

Congrats!! This makes me feel another Minecraft nether vibes
