This is the first walk animation I ever made using blender. I’m pretty proud of it but it still feels off to me. If you have any advice or animation tips, please reply.
It’s not bad but it looks pretty similar to the original. It’s also a little strange that the leg seems to get removed entirely while walking. As someone who would like to start blender in the future, I wish you the best! I would personally change the walk animation to a jog or a running animation and just speed the character up a bit to match the running speed.
Thanks for the feedback! I do agree that legs look pretty strange
No problem! For your first, it’s pretty good! Just keep practicing and improving!
Maybe, make the arms sway left or right a bit more to make it a bit more natural, but overall it looks really smooth and natural.
Good job.
There are reasons why it looks off.
The opposite arms and legs (right arm, left leg) (left arm, right leg) are too synced with each other. Usually, the arms lag a little behind the leg.
The legs are just rotating. You need to move your legs up a bit when the leg moves to the front (because you can’t walk without lifting your leg off the ground).
Your torso has absolutely no sway. The torso rotates a little to the right when the left arm is extended and vice versa.
It’s decent but the legs shouldn’t be jetting out.
It’s standard and I like it that way, but it’s kind of close to the original. I know this is just for skill, but you should keep that in mind whenever you’re using one for an experience.
You should try visibly propelling the player forward, so that it looks real. Rather than sliding on blocks.
Probably still better than I could ever do, 7/10!
