I noticed that a lot of the popular games are not necessarily revolutionary new concepts, so I decided to try a popular genre and make an easy to use obby builder.
I would really appreciate some inputs on the game so far, for example:
Do the obby stages look OK?
Is the UI ok and easy to use?
Is the icon, thumbnail and intro text ok?
Is there something obviously bad that I should fix?
@jumpcats1234 I discovered UI design is not quick or easy, when making this one. The big problem was fitting everything on an iPhone. It works now, but it led to the issue of everything then looking quite small on a computer. I will try to spend some more time with UI constraints and changing some size values from “offset” to “scale”. I still don’t think there is enough space on the iphone, though, maybe some of the stuff on the right should go on tab pages?
@VSCPlays I wasn’t completely sure what I was aiming for, obby builder, procedural generated obby, or both. Maybe therein lies the reason why this has taken ages which in turn is why I am slightly running out of motivation.
I also added a randomized weekly obby. Maybe I should rename it to “Turbo Obby Maker” or “Robi Obby.” “Easy Obby Maker” seems a little boring. The game icon is nice with a smiling cartoon girl, but maybe it does not signal “obby” enough. Maybe an obby stage screenshot would actually be better.
