I’ve recently been developing a game called “Obby Trivia Challenge” which is loosely inspired by the Jackbox game “Murder Trivia Party”.
It’s still fairly new and I have not been able to accumilate many players yet however could some of you guys try playing the game and providing me with some feedback?
A rough description of the game is as follows:
Up to 12 players, everyone is asked a trivia question
Those who get it wrong lose a life and are sent to complete an obstacle
Players who fail an obstacle or get three questions wrong are eliminated
The last player remaining competes against the “final challenge”
Hey
Your game is sick, really fun. Good obby &lobby. Here are things I’d suggest
Keep a general difficulty for the first section of questions, it went from “what fruit is yellow” to periodic table (in my country we did not learn this but I know some of my american friends were forced to in school)
The UI is a little bit stretched
Make different obstacles
Make the screen less cluttered, when a player joins and has like 3 popups for invite, buy XYZ , tutorial and all that… it makes your game look worse.
Badges
Make the lobby brighter instead of brown
Add different types of rounds?
Maybe you can do a vote on what type of questions to do or the difficulty before the round starts.
If your game is not gaining more players then it’s probably the fact that you’re not running ads/sponsors or they’re not eyecatching. This game is absolutely front page worthy just add a little bit more to it.
I liked the overall game idea and the gameplay itself, it is not heavily monetized and not to the point that you leave a dislike. Overall you did a fine job doing this game and even if it’s new it’s good.(Sorry for the immature response, this is my first post on DevForum)
Congratulations on almost 100K visits, I really do hope you remove the invite your friends gui pop up each time I die or fix it so it only shows when I actually just join.
