[Feedback] Runic Project

Hello! Another Edit! This edit Ill try to provide as much info as I can.

For the past day Ive been messing with the terrain tool and making some little models and putting them together in a game. Ive then messed with the colors of each set to get different themes both with their own “vibe”.

The thing I would like is the world to be interactive with the player. Such as a puzzle passage way or some type of challenge. Im hoping for this to be an adventure game for the player to explore. The thing is I dont know how to add these challenges.

Thats were you come in. I would like to know from you guys how I could implement these challenges and how.

Example

Great Work
Add a passage way with a maze
You could possibly add it behind the waterfall

Here are the two themes that I have created. I think for the game play help Id like to stick with the light theme.

Dark Theme

Light Theme

Here is a link to each game if your bothered enough to look closely :

Games

The Runic Project - Roblox
The Runic Project [Dark Theme] - Roblox

Any ways to make it better? All opinions and feedback will be considered  .

Hey!
I feel as if you made the statue R15 and bent some limbs it would give it a lot more life than it already has. Have you tried messing with ShadowMapping? Just throwing out ideas.

Could we get a game link? Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! I will have to go and make the statue R15 for the reasons you said.

I haven’t heard of ShadowMapping. I just looked it up and cant find much info on it. Could you possibly provide a link please?

Shadow map is a type of lighting, go to your explorer, click lighting, go in properties and change the type! Link if you need it!:

I added a bit more to the map while this thread got feedback. Ill go ahead and add more screenshots in a bit.

An adventure game would be a very good idea and valued by players looking for a original and adventurous tone to it. It would be a standout to other games because they usually are action or simulation games and Roblox has advertised their gaming platform as adventurous with cool backgrounds of games that are either not playable anymore or just don’t exist. If you do choose to do this especially towards Roblox’s perspective you might peak new player’s interests and maybe even Roblox’s interest so go with light. you might also want to add other areas as well such as futuristic and medieval. Keep in mind that just plain anchored parts aren’t really interesting so you might want things to be interactive. This is just my opinion but this could be possible.

Thanks for the feedback!

I think I’ll stick with the light theme but keep the dark for a side project. At the moment Im planning on making some secret passages and other interactive pieces. Just not the best at scripting . Hopefully I’ll be able to find some simple things to script that have tutorials.

Thanks again!

Very cool build, I really do enjoy the light theme much more than the dark theme, generally because the dark theme is just too dark. For the dark theme, you should make it lighter, but then implement some fog and just tweek some settings in lighting. Use the latest Future Is Bright update to help you on this.

As far as the light theme goes, work on blending the grass parts with the terrain grass, and add some more vegetation.
