I wanted to create a couple of generic SCP themed doors to go with my Custom Door System.
However, I think I could do better but I’m not sure where to continue so any thoughts or advice on how to improve the build?

I saw the images for your SCP style doors, first off what an interesting model you have made. Also, I would just want to recommend for you to make the doors have the SCP Containment Facility Symbol.
Also, the keycard holder of the door should be placed against the wall.
But in all, you did a very impressive work in developing your SCP Style doors.
It could be recommended in an SCP game.

Oh boy! SCP style doors?
I couldn’t ignore this post; SCP doors are my thing. I doubt there’s a single person in the entire SCP community that could create such a ridiculously intricate doors as I do. I once spent 3 consecutive, full days working on a completely functional door. It had locking functionality, modular door components such as buttons, keycard scanners, fingerprint scanners, etc.
Anyway. Here are some of my designs:
Swinging Door Design (sorry, can’t find the actually game version with the door)
Remember, there’s more than one way to open a door.
- You could have two sides of the door separate, like above. They don’t have to be symmetrical! You could even do it vertically!
- You could have the door slide in from the side, above, below.
- You could have the door open like a… door. A simple swinging door might be useful for the entrance zone of your site.
- You could have two sides of the door slide against each other, like the SCP Containment Breach doors.
Try adding locking to your doors! How about creating different designs of doors, with varying levels of security, for different zones of your site? Think outside of the box!
Many people fall for the same, diamond plate, dark stone grey door with zero features. Be the one (other) person in the world who actually has an imagination when it comes to door designs.

I’ll be sure to include many of your suggestions in my revamped designs and I’ll be sure to mix up the design so it’s less boring looking.
