[Feedback wanted] [Active Development] [WIP] Developer Log - Hamrs 'n Nailz

Welcome to the developer log for Hamrs 'n Nailz (Not out yet). I will share some info along with clips to document my journey and for you to see the progress of the game.

I will reply with each update to this post for the future for whenever there is an update.
I will also add a list of dev logs going in order from 0 - x.
Please do remember I also do IT at college so I may not have time to post updates etc.

Quick game summary

The game is a class, round based, third person shooter. You can build up your own fort with your friends and see how far you get whilst you get supplies dropped to you after each successful wave passed. Loot can range from new weapons, healing items or resources.

  • Unlock new items
  • Team up with 3 other friends (Might make it 4 (excluding you) but not sure)
  • Challenges so you don’t get board
  • Unique and special Classes, Zombies and Abilities

Added a damage number indicator which also adds up the current value so for example:
100 → 125

I am aware of clips being slightly laggy although this is because of my hardware limitations for my laptop…

EDIT 2: Uploaded correct video this time…

  • Made damage less when shooting legs.
  • Made damage more randomized when shooting entities in the leg.
  • Added gun specific multipliers (Headshot Multiplier etc)
  • Added timed teleporters (2 second delay. 1 per teleport)
  • Added ragdolls (Forgot to show in this clip… Take my word for it)

I keep forgetting to convert roblox videos into mp4 files. Sorry!

  • Arms now look at mouse pos w/ head
  • Footstep sounds for materials
  • Increased camera tilt to make it a little stronger by 2
  • Added motion blur and if you move your mouse too fast consistently then the blur stacks
  • Added Health text w/ Color tweening and health number animation
  • Made all weapon camera shake doubled to make shake a little more noticable (tweeking still)

Its looking good so far. One thing I’d like to suggest with that health UI. It seems fairly slow and specially if you’ve taken a lot of damage, its going to give you the wrong idea it seems like it just needs speeding up. Other than that it seems good.

Everything you see right now is just me getting it down. Any feedback will be applied later on as my priority right now is just making a shell of the systems and then doing the cleaning up and tweaking later.
