Feedback wanted on game icon

Is this something you would click if it appeared as a sponsored game in the popular section? If not, why not?

Probably not. The icon tells me nothing about the game. The GFX and lighting aren’t great either.

Well, that’s fair. I have a follow-up question, if that’s alright. This icon is supposed to communicate three things:

  1. That there are monsters
  2. An oriental or quasi-oriental theme
  3. Talking is involved in the core gameplay

So if you work it through backwards it isn’t completely nonsensical, but I assume what you’re saying is that none of this is clearly communicated through the image. Knowing what the goals are, how might you change it to more effectively get these pieces of information across?

To be honest it just looks low quality in general, the monster model looks poorly made and the girl in the picture just doesn’t look normal.

Are you referring to the girl’s facial features? She has a nose, her head is taller, and I moved the eyes higher than usual. I assume that’s the issue but if it’s something else please clarify.

And what’s wrong with the monster model? I ask because I’d like to improve it. The eyes? Lack of detail? Bad choice of meshes? Texture? Color choice?

The icon looks a bit out of place, and it doesn’t really tell the players about the game clearly enough.

The GFX isn’t the best I’ve seen but a lot will play because it is funny and if you have a goofy name people will play just to see what it is.

It’s just very poorly made, the smoothing on the nose, around and below it looks messy and choppy, plus the teeth look very out of place.

Maybe if it’s supposed to be a funny game, then maybe, people will click it? My issue is is that the models have really poor quality, and the icon dosen’t really tell what the game is supposed to be. I wish you good luck on your game! Hope it helps!
