Hello , I’m David , and I am mainly a builder on ROBLOX. I repurposed an old swordfighting game that I had made with my friend into a new game called “Tribal Warriors.”
So basically it is just a sword-fighting game, but each round there’s a different map inside a different arena and each map is unique and changes the way you fight. Players can use the coins they get from each round to buy hats, clothes, name tags, trails, weapons, faces, and hairs and customize their character. There’s really not a lot of depth to the game, but I’m it’s fun for kids to play.
So what I am asking for is for you to play the game and answer some of these questions:
• Does the game feel unique or does it just feel like a generic sword-fighting game?
• Is there any replay value at all or does it get boring? If it’s boring, how could I improve upon this?
• Is the game visually appealing?
• Did you experience any performance dips while playing the game?
• Did you experience any bugs while playing the game?
Any other forms of feedback would be much appreciated as well , thanks for reading!
Pretty awesome game. Really feels like survivor. The lobby (mostly the ground) is quite open and bland, add paths? Music is good. Swords could do with change. When I spawned in, I spawned really close to 2 other players. Lobby design is great. Matches are fun. It is visually appealing, it does not feel generic, it does have replay value but this game doesnt draw me in to replay it (person preference) i’m not sure how you could improve. I was climbing a ladder and died when there were no players near me but a guy appeared behind me thereafter. I’m not sure what happened.I hate when a game shoves expensive gamepasses in your face, while it is a bit distracting on the right side, I thank you for not making them expensive. I suggest you put it under a gamepass category on the left side. Otherwise, your game was enjoyable and definitely front page worthy but you could add more to it. Different gamemodes, stuff in lobby to make it fun… nice work
There isn’t much wrong with it. Everything looks very nice and polished. It was pretty fun to play. I didn’t experience any performance issues although I am on a higher-end PC so it’s unlikely I will encounter anything of that nature. I did not encounter any bugs either.
The only issues I had with it was the combat was pretty basic and I didn’t really strike me as a game that I would want to keep coming back and playing and I think these two issues are tied together. Although I do think there is replay value.
The combat system is your entire gameplay and its simplicity and quickness doesn’t make it stand out much. Yes it was fun to play, but it got very repetitive and wasn’t really anything I was dying to come back to play. If you could find some way to make your combat system a little more complex, I think that would go a long way for your game especially since almost all sword combat on roblox is relatively the same as what you have now. Maybe find some way to let players block each other’s attacks? That could spice up matches a lot and add a skill element to it as well. If there was a bigger skill element to the sword fighting that could keep players coming back just to get better at it. This would probably be a difficult system to make but it might be worth your time since your entire gameplay is just sword fighting. This is just my personal opinion though.
At the very least, I recommend decreasing how much damage swords do. It’s pretty much a one-hit kill at the moment. If players had to spend more time hacking away at each other to kill someone it could help make the matches more intense because there would be a lot more back-and-forth slashing at each other. It could create more “edge of your seat” moments when the last two players only have a splinter of health left and one more hit will kill either of them. It’s difficult to get those moments currently because you die right away if hit by a sword.
EDIT: Oh and another issue I just noticed was that your selling coins with Game passes. You want to sell those with DevProducts so that they can be bought multiple times. Game passes can only be bought once and that will significantly decrease your revenue especially when selling currency.
The game was actually pretty fun. What most swordfighting games lack is variety. Here, you fixed the problem with different maps, such as icicles falling from the ceiling which you have to dodge. I do have to say that you should make the actual swordfighting a little more complex. First of all, make it so that the swords do less damage. Second, add a way to block attacks. This will bring a higher skill cap, and make players return to the game, so they can get better.
i’d love to play it, but there was nobody to play with, could you join me? also game looks REALLY good im your 200th like and 444th favorite xd gl on the game, HIGHLY underrated!
How to play screen had a font size that was too large, had too much text, and I forgot all of it by the time a round started. Consider using pictures.
Lobby swordfight should be free. It would let players test how the game works.
Going by the thumbnail, icon, and lobby I have no idea what kind of game this is. It will help your ratings to screen out people who hate sword fighting games before they join (‘misleading’ these people into joining will result in dislikes on your game)
The swords were broken when I played
Asking for likes in such a blatantly obvious way will make people doubt your game. It’s not a good idea. Leave that kind of thing in the description.
The lobby microtransactions feel intrusive. To be clear, they’re not necessarily bad, but I think it’s just too early to be doing that. Get an active player base first. Then go ham with the monetization. It’s harder to do it the other way around.
EDIT: If it were me, I’d abandon the current copy of the place and just upload to a new copy when you feel you have a more solid product. Some will insist that, by just updating, the ratings will fix themselves. More likely than not… they won’t. The ratings on the game have been badly damaged and I suggest a refresh.
