Hello guys! This is my first devforum post and I would like to get feedback on how should I improve this army picture. I felt like the image was too bright so I tried weakening the light but it made it worse. I also added smoke to cover up the mud because it looked kinda flat.
I really like it over all maybe add some PBR textures for the trees and HDRI for some light. I find mixing and matching these videos for your needs are the best steps. Remember YouTube has a lot of great tutorials and I’d look there and what people have done in the past to see how to improve and what to add or get ride of. Hope this helped, John.

On the right solider, his right leg is a little too far below the torso (theres a gap between them). Other then that I like it, the mud is a little glossy looking though.
I couldn’t really fix the leg since the rig was built like that.
I’m not an artist, but I want to help.
The gun’s each soldier are holding don’t really fit each other. One appears like it came from 90 years ago and the other shoots literal rockets.
Of course I am no historian and I don’t know the actual time periods these were produced, but I am a consumer of these advertisements and I feel there is a large distance between the guns.
I also suggest you try to use textures that “fit” each other. The textures of the clothing, trees, and weapons all look like different styles and so they don’t complement each other well.
Looks pretty good!
However, the right soldier’s leg is slighty off.
It’s pretty good overall. However, I would add some little details like mud splashes from the soldiers moving in the mud. Keep up the good work though!
The ground is reflective and the trees are repeating which seems unnatural, everything is still kinda plain. You did learned how to use pbr textures and hdri and it’s good to be. Next time try to use sculpt tools to make the ground more realistic, give it some grass or withered grass (because it’s a war) and make it less reflective by turning up the roughness because it’s dirt. You can go to websites like sketchfab, cgtrader for many free war models and trees, they will make your arts so much better. Hope this helped
